The President of the Republic, Dina Boluartedefended the questioned public company before Congress Petroperú.
During her speech in the hemicycle of the Legislative Palace, the president considered that “a promising horizon for the company” is avizo, despite its critical economic situation.
“Petroperú is the first and only company in the state of the Hydrocarbons subsector, which aims to supply the national market efficiently, timely and competitively,” he said.
According to the Head of State, the three refineries in Talara, Conchaán and Iquitos “are in full performance and a promising horizon for the company is enforced.”
“It has recovered market share with sales equivalent to 30% of the national quota and has begun to export its products to Brazil, Ecuador and, very soon, to Bolivia,” he said.
Likewise, Boluarte announced that an inter -institutional cooperation certificate with Petroecuador for the direct purchase of oil without intermediaries has been signed, as well as the direct sale of diesel, gasoline and Peruvian asphalt to the Ecuadorian company “and the interconnection of Ecuadorian oil fields with the
Nor Peruvian pipeline to transport raw to the Bayovar terminal and the Talara refinery. “
The president said that, within the framework of emergency decree No. 013-2024, “restructuring, liquidity and austerity actions are executed, in order to gradually transform institutional management, fulfill financial commitments, diversify markets and generate value for Peru.”
The president indicated that her government has the commitment to achieve the development of the hydrocarbons subsector, “to strengthen our energy security.”
