The candidate for re-election by the PL, Jair Bolsonaro, voted this morning (2), in the city of Rio de Janeiro. He arrived at around 8:50 am at Escola Municipal Rosa da Fonseca, in Vila Militar, in the west zone.
Accompanied by allied politicians, he spoke to the press upon arrival and departure from the polling place, where he remained for about five minutes. Bolsonaro said that clean elections have to be respected and that he is confident of his victory in the first round.
“The expectation is of victory today, considering what we did in a difficult moment for the nation, as well as in these 45 days. I was, in practically all the states of Brazil, very well received. Clean elections, no problem. May the best win “, said.
From early on, there was a reinforced security system around the polling place, with the presence of the Army Police, the Military Police and the Special Resources Coordination (Core) of the Civil Police, including dogs.
