Former President Jair Bolsonaro undergoing gut surgery on Sunday at the DF Star Hospital in Brasilia.
Bolsonaro is subjected to an exploiting laparotomy for the release of intestinal adhesions and reconstruction of the abdominal wall. The procedure began around 10am and already lasts more than 7 hours.
On Friday (11), Bolsonaro was ill during a political event in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte. He was rescued by a team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) and transferred from helicopter to Natal. The aircraft was provided by Governor Fatima Bezerra (PT).
On Saturday (12), the former president left the Rio Grande hospital, in the capital Potiguarand went to Brasilia, where he undergoes surgery.
