Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid, an order assistant of former President Jair Bolsonaro, said in award-winning denunciation that he received orders from the then president to enter false covid-19 vaccination data. The goal was to get fraudulent vaccination certificates on behalf of Bolsonaro and his daughter, as the former president did not immunize himself against the disease.
Mauro Cid’s denunciation had its confidentiality overthrown this Wednesday (19), by determination of the Minister of the Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes.
In the statement given to the Federal Police in August 2023, Cid stated that Bolsonaro’s order was given after the then president discovered that his or her or her or her family’s aide and his family has been able to enter the insertion cards and his family through insertion, through insertion through insertion False data in the Connect SUS system in 2021.
Cid, who managed the Bolsonaro Connect SUS account, said that after entering the data, he printed the two cards (from Bolsonaro and his daughter) and handed them to the former president.
According to Cid, the purpose of having a fake card was to use it in some need, as in the case of international trips, when the presentation of the document was still a mandatory requirement to enter some countries. The whistleblower also reported that the data were deleted from the system after card printing.
Just before leaving the presidency, Bolsonaro traveled to the United States on December 30 with his wife and daughter. But as he traveled with a diplomatic passport, he would not need, according to the American rules, to present a COVID-19 vaccination card.
