The far-right president, a candidate for re-election in October, was received by dozens of Brazilians gathered at the door of the diplomatic representation in Mayfair, a neighborhood that is home to high-end establishments.
For Bolsonaro, the people gathered “represent what is really happening in Brazil”, which has to decide its “future” in the October elections, led, according to the polls, by the leftist former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
“We know who is on the other side and what they want to implant in our Brazil,” assured the president, for whom his country “does not want to discuss the liberalization of drugs, legalize abortion” nor “nor does it accept gender ideology.”
