Reported by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) for a series of crimes aiming at their maintenance in power, former President Jair Bolsonaro issued, through his defense lawyer, a note in which he claims to be appalled and outraged by the complaint filed On the night of Tuesday (18).
Signed by lawyer Paulo Cunha Bueno, the note states that Bolsonaro “never compact with any movement aimed at the deconstruction of the democratic rule of law or the institutions that pave him.”
According to the complaint filed by the PGR to the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Bolsonaro not only knew how he agreed with the planning and execution of Actions to murder President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Vice President Geraldo Alckmin and STF Minister Alexandre de Moraes.
According to the Attorney General of the Republic, Paulo Gonet, the plan entitled “Yellow Green Dagger” was designed and brought to the knowledge of the then President of the Republic, “which he anciated, at the time when the Ministry of Defense was contingent on recognizing the lack of detection of fraud in the elections. ”
In addition to the former president, the PGR complaint includes 33 more people for the crimes of coup, violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law and criminal organization. The charges involve military personnel, including Walter Braga Netto, former minister of the Civil House and Defense, and Mauro Cid, a helper of orders from President Jair Bolsonaro.
The complaint of the PGR also points out that other plans were found in possession of the accused. One of them ended with the phrase: “Lula does not go up the ramp.”
Defense
According to the defense of Jair Bolsonaro, no element that minimally connected the president to the narrative built in the complaint, was found. “There is no message from the then President of the Republic that embarrass the prosecution, despite a real wanton that was made on his personal phones,” argues the lawyer by classifying the complaint as “inept” for relying on “a single award -winning denunciation, several sometimes changed “.
