President Jair Bolsonaro participated this Saturday (10) at the Naval Academy, in downtown Rio, in the graduation of aspiring members of the “Patriarch of Independence” class, who were declared midshipmen.
This morning, 182 midshipmen, including seven foreigners from friendly navies, from Bolivia, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Panama and Senegal, received their swords, the symbol of a naval officer.
The ceremony also marked the graduation of the first six female members of the Navy and Marine Corps to graduate from the Naval Academy.
The Naval School trains Navy officers for initial career positions in the Navy, Marine Corps and Navy Quartermasters.
