Bolivians stood out in the Sao Paulo karting Cup

Branko Iriarte from La Paz was fourth in the Junior category and Abel Iriarte from Santa Cruz was fifth in the Mirim class, on the seventh round of the Sao Paulo Karting Cup, which took place over the weekend in Brazil.

Both pilots took the podium, as in this championship the first five of each category are awarded and they have their space on the winner’s podium.

Bolivia attended this event with nine runners, considered one of the most competitive in the continent, since pilots from several countries participate in it.

Lucas and Valentino Careaga from Potosí; the people from La Paz Branko and Wálter Iriarte, as well as Mijail and Anyeli Limachi; Abel Iriarte and Mateo Cuéllar from Santa Cruz; Besides the Chuquisaqueño Stefano Careaga, they were the pilots who represented Bolivia.

Valentino, Anyeli and Wálter were sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively in the Mirim category. In Cadets, Lucas was twelfth; Cuéllar, twentieth; and Stefano, twenty-second. While Mikhail was eighth in Sprinter.

The performance of our pilots has been quite good. The podiums we have had show the advancement of Bolivian karting ”, said Orlando Careaga Campos, president of the National Karting Commission (CNK).

Lucas will have the chance to race once more in the neighboring country upon being invited by the organizers. “They invited him to run the Brazilian championship, which is one of the strongest in all of America in Cadets. It will run from December 9 to 12 and we will evaluate if we can come, ”said Orlando.
