Through a message on the social network X, on the night of Saturday, August 24, the president of Bolivia rejected “any attempt to interfere in the politics of our countries”
Bolivian President Luis Arce said he “supports the democratic institutions” of Venezuela and defends the “principle of self-determination of peoples and respect for sovereignty,” referring to the political crisis the country is experiencing following the presidential elections held on July 28.
In a message on the social network X, on the night of Saturday, August 24, the Bolivian president rejected “any attempt to interfere in the politics of our countries.”

Arce did not elaborate on the events that occurred in Venezuela following the questioned election results, the arrest of thousands of people demanding respect for the popular will expressed on July 28, or on the intervention of the TSJ.
Last Thursday, August 22, the Supreme Court of Justice validated the results announced by the National Electoral Council that declared Nicolás Maduro the winner, but without presenting the data broken down by voting centers and tables.
The Venezuelan opposition has demanded that the minutes be presented to verify the announced results. However, their demand has not been taken into account. According to the minutes they have in their possession, the winner of the electoral contest was Edmundo González Urrutia.
The opposition leaders’ request has been supported by the international community, who believe that the transparency and credibility of the electoral process will only be possible by presenting disaggregated results.
Several governments in the region, such as Argentina, Costa Rica, Chile, Ecuador, the United States, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay, have expressed their position of not endorsing the position of the Venezuelan justice system on the recent presidential elections in Venezuela.
These countries questioned the Supreme Court’s ruling and warned of its “lack of independence and impartiality.”
