Bolivian League: fixture and table of scorers of the competition

After 8 disputed days, the Bolivian Professional Soccer League is on fire. In Group A four teams continue a fierce fight for the lead. In Group B Blooming and Bolívar will decide who will end up winning the league.

Bolivian soccer has been one of the great quarries of the South American scene. Players such as ‘the devil’ Etcheverry, Joaquín Botero, Luis Cristaldo or more recently Marcelo Martins have come out of the highlands. In recent years, the Bolivian championship has been in a doldrums despite the arrival of major investors such as Marcelo Claure.

Group A

Atlético Palmaflor is the current leader of the standings with 16 points. However, just two points separate them from Universitario, fourth in the standings. At the moment it is expected that both Nacional de Potosí and The Strongest can fight for the position of direct classification for the Libertadores.

B Group

In the second group of the Bolivian national championship, only two teams compete to see who will take the lead. Blooming is, at the moment, the provisional leader of the group with 19 points, three behind Bolívar. With just eight games played, the team from Santa Cruz de la Sierra has taken a star advantage of seven points over third-placed Real Tomayapo. The season has just started, but at the moment it seems that the Academy has everything to win.

individual stats

In the goals section, Oriente Petrolero striker Facundo Suárez is the current top scorer in the series with six goals. The Argentine has converted 50% of the club’s goals from La Paz, but his effectiveness has not prevented his team from finishing fifth in Group A. They are followed by the Brazilian Francisco da Costa, his teammate Hugo Dorrego, José Correa and Joel Amoroso with four goals each.
