A report from the National Institute of Statistics (INE) states that this result was achieved due to the positive variations registered by the economic activities of agriculture, livestock, hunting, forestry and fishing, with 5.8 percent.
The report adds that in the extraction of hydrocarbons the boom was 27.3 percent, in minerals 10.9 percentage points and in the manufacturing industry 27.7 units out of 100.
According to the source, the main products that increased their exports in the agricultural branch were sesame seeds (sesame), with 38.2 percentage points, unroasted coffee (21.2 percent) and bananas (15.6 percent). .
The INE adds that in February sales abroad from the extraction of hydrocarbons showed a gradual recovery, based on growth of 30.8 percent due to the sale of natural gas.
An increase was also observed in the mining sector compared to February 2021 due to the positive variations registered in sales of zinc (39.1 percent) and lead (16.6 units out of 100).
The Institute underlines that between January and February 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, the products of the manufacturing industry that grew in their exports were metallic tin (109.8 percent), metal gold (12.5 points out of 100 ) and products derived from soybeans (41.9 percent).
“It should be noted that, as of February 2022, the increase in exports in the activity of the manufacturing industry is also explained by exports corresponding to granulated urea, whose value reached 25.6 million dollars,” INE clarified. .
In relation to the trade balance of the Andean-Amazonian country, the report maintains that Bolivia achieved a surplus of 231 million dollars in February of this year, slightly lower than that registered in the same period of the previous year with 237 million of the North American currency.
