This Friday, the CONMEBOL Competitions and Operations Directorate carried out the draw for the group stage of the CONMEBOL U-20 2025 tournament. Bolivia has been assigned to Group B, where it will compete against Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Argentina.
Group A is made up of: Venezuela, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile and Peru.
The tournament will be held in Venezuela from January 23 to February 16, 2025. Ten CONMEBOL Member Associations participate, distributed into two groups of five teams each.
La Verde, technically directed by Jorge Perrota, will have a tough mission in Venezuelan territory, given that they will have to face four teams that have already won this tournament in previous editions.
Brazil, which is the current champion, is also the most successful in the competition with 12 titles. Argentina has five; Colombia, three; and Ecuador, one.
For its part, Bolivia never lifted the title; The closest it came was the fourth lugares that he obtained in 1981 and 1983.
In the group stage, the format will be round-robin, that is, each team will play four games. The best three in each series will advance to the next final phase.
