Bolivia reports 531 new coronavirus infections and eight active patients with monkeypox

The Ministry of Health and Sports reported that this Sunday, December 11, The country reported 531 new cases of Covid-19with Santa Cruz and La Paz leading the infections nationwide.

According to the epidemiological detail released this day, 204 patients recovered from the virus, no deaths were reported in any of the 9 departments plus the city of El Alto and the fatality rate at the beginning of the sixth wave reached 0.1%. 2,780 tests were also carried out, of which 2,249 were discarded.

As for the 531 new cases of the coronavirus, Santa Cruz registered 449 followed by La Paz with 38; Cochabamba 28; Chuquisaca 8; Oruro 4; Potosi 2; card 1; Beni 1 and Pando no case.

Regarding vaccination, this day 1,574 doses were applied. The report establishes that 751,473 first doses were applied, 543,952 second doses to children from 5 to 11 years old, while 806,372 to adolescents from 12 to 17 years old in first doses and 637,282 in the second.

Eight active monkeypox patients

The official report of the Ministry of Health and Sports establishes that to date there are 8 active patients with monkeypox and 252 recovered. During this day, no infected people showed up and the accumulated number is 260.

Santa Cruz registers 233 active casesCochabamba with 15 active cases, La Paz registers 9 positive cases, Chuquisaca, Oruro and Potosí present one case, respectively.
