Bolivia reported 509 new cases of covid-19 on the last Sunday of June

The number of cases of Covid-19 in Bolivia reached 509 this Sundayconsidered normal by the authorities, since on weekends the laboratories work with reduced staff and resume normality this Monday.

Of the 509 cases reported, more than 50% occurred in the department of Santa Cruz that notified 265 patients declared as positive, La Paz 103, Cochabamba 83, Chuquisaca 50, Oruro five, Beni two and Tarija one case, were the departments that made their figures known; while in Potosí and Pando no new cases were registered.

In this way, Bolivia has already reached 921,104 positive cases of coronavirus in 27 months of pandemic, and the most numerous cases are in the three departments of the central axis of the country. Of that global figure, 881,413 people managed to overcome the disease either with a vaccine or receiving medication. While 21,953 compatriots lost their lives in these two years and three months that Covid-19 is around the world.

In the case of recovered The Government reported that 342 overcame the virus this Sunday. The records indicate that the largest number of recovered people was in Santa Cruz 131, Chuquisaca 96, Cochabamba 52, Oruro 38, La Paz 19, Beni four, Potosí two, while the departments of Pando and Oruro did not register any recovered.

Where there may be some concern is the level of vaccination that exists on the weekend, since this Sunday 2,001 doses were administered of vaccines throughout the country, according to the official report of the Government.

That Monday, the report of the Minister of Health, Jeyson Auza, is expected. regarding the epidemiological week of the disease. In a weekend interview, the president, Luis Arce, said that the best achievement of his government is undoubtedly having defeated the pandemic with the vaccines that have arrived throughout this time.
