Bolivia registers more than 14,000 infections by Covid-19 for the third consecutive day

The fourth wave deals a new blow. 14,461 is the number of positive cases of coronavirus that the Ministry of Health registered throughout the country this Friday, January 14, and it is the third consecutive day that more than 14,000 cases are presented in a single day. On Wednesday it was 14,063 and on Thursday 14,160.

With that amount, the country already has a cumulative of 739,920 people who passed the coronavirus.

This Friday there were also 39 deaths. throughout the country and in this way the 20,188 patients who failed to defeat the virus have already been reached; while national and subnational authorities make efforts to stop the vertiginous fourth wave that threatens to reach 20,000 cases in a single day.

According to the report of the Ministry of Health, supported by Headquarters throughout the country, this Friday confirmed that the virus violently attacks Santa Cruz that registered 3,398 cases positive, also noted nine deaths; follows him Cochabamba with 2,929 people who were diagnosed as positive for Covid-19 and four people who died.

La Paz reached 2,315 positives, which is a new record for the number of cases this week. A dozen deaths were also recorded this Friday.

Tarija has a sustained increase in cases with 1,867 people who tested positive in the laboratory and eight people lost their lives; Chuquisaca also recorded 1,422 cases of Covid-19 and two deaths; Oruro reached 1,220 cases and three deaths; Potosí with 742 cases and one deceased; Beni 355 positive cases and two deaths; Pando closes with 213 cases that were discovered thanks to a campaign of tests and vaccines that was carried out on Thursday and the figures were only recently known, fortunately there were no deaths declared by Covid-19 in this department.

While the number of recovered reached 7,402 people this Friday. Santa Cruz was the region where the most recovered cases were known, 6,038 in total, Cochabamba 625, Tarija 295, La Paz 220, Chuquisaca 149, Oruro 45, Potosí 20, Pando 10 and Beni did not record recoveries.

So far there are 582,249 people who have overcome the virus since March 2020.
