Bolivia registered a slight increase in infections by Covid-19 this Monday, according to the report from the Ministry of Health and Sports. There were 481 confirmed cases. With these new records, the number of accumulated infected reached 897,970, of which 66,480 remain active.
Cochabamba surpassed Santa Cruz with the highest number of new infectionsregistering 319. While the department of Santa Cruz ranked second with 114, followed by Pando with 13, Chuquisaca and Tarija with nine, La Paz with eight, four in Potosí, three in Oruro and two in Beni.
The total number of recovered rose to 810,015, after 1,387 patients beat the disease this day. However, they lamented the death of two people and the total number of deceased, since the pandemic began in March 2020, reached 21,475.
According to the National Directorate of Epidemiology, lethality in this fourth wave remains at 0.7%less than in the third (2.5%), second (2.7%) and first (6.2%).
While the vaccination process continues in advance and to date 12,852,244 doses have been applied, of which 6,014,713 correspond to the first vaccines, 4,711,756 to the second and the rest are distributed between the booster doses and those applied to minors.
