Bolivia registers 211 positive cases of Covid-19, most of them in Santa Cruz

The national report of Covid-19 indicates that This Saturday, May 21, 211 new infections were registered throughout the country, of which most of them (178) are concentrated in Santa Cruz.

In second place is Cochabamba, which today registered 13 cases. It is followed by La Paz with 10, Chuquisaca, with six and Potosí, with three. The other departments do not report any cases.

This Saturday a person died of coronavirus in the country.

Till the date, in Bolivia 13,785,615 doses were applied between the first, second, third, fourth and single dose to the different age groups of the Sputnik V, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer, Janssen and Moderna vaccines throughout the national territory.

Of this total, 6,197,197 public health professionals, teachers, the elderly, children, adolescents, older than 18 years and pregnant women, received the first dose; likewise, 4,959,977 were applied in the second dose; 1,478,176 of the third; 151,613 the fourth dose and 998,652 single doses.

The report states that 741,398 first doses and 506,557 second doses were applied to children between the ages of five and 11while 766,704 adolescents aged 12 to 17 years in the first dose and 586,735 in the second.
