Bolivia passes one million covid cases after two years of pandemic

The Ministry of Health reported that 3,598 people tested positive for covid-19 in the country this Saturday. To date, infections total 1,001,213 since the first recorded case in 2020.

This Saturday, in Cochabamba 976 cases were reported; in La Paz, 889 and in Santa Cruz, 851, which are the departments with the most infections, and which represent 75% of the date.

In addition, the ministry noted that 3,490 patients recovered from coronavirus and they were discharged. With them, the accumulated number of recovered people amounts to 919,737.

On the other hand, this Saturday 9,254 vaccines were administered to prevent severe forms of the illness. To date, 14,518,732 anticovid vaccines have been applied. Of these, 6,276,579 correspond to first doses; 5,058,374, second; 998,652, single doses; 1,863,064, third and 322,063 fourth doses.
