He who forgives dies. Bolivia could not materialize the opportunities it generated and ended up resigning a defeat at the hands of Ecuador (1-0) this Sunday afternoon in the second date of Series B, in the South American Sub-20, which is played in Colombia. The next rival will be Chile.
The first half was an even process, with chances to open the scoring in both goals; however, the goalkeepers were in charge of drowning out the goal cry. In La Verdecita, at minute 28, Miguel Ángel Villarroel stole a ball in midfield, entered the rival area, but his shot was controlled by goalkeeper Gilmar Napa.
The other opportunity was wasted by Daniel Ribera at the end of the first half. The national attacker finished off a cross from the left zone, just past the humanity of the Ecuadorian goalkeeper, who once again responded with solvency.
Ecuador had their chance, but found an excellent response from the Bolivian goalkeeper Poveda. At minute 43, the goalkeeper from La Verdecita took the ball with his left hand, after Justin Cuero’s header. He could have been the first; however, they went into the break with a clean score.
