The Bolivian team fell to Argentina (1-0) the this Sunday night in the South American Sub-17, which is played in Ecuador. The only goal of the game was scored by Valentino Acuña in the second half.

The game that suffered a delay of one hour and 30 minutes, due to the constant rain in Guayaquil, was played on wet and slippery ground. There was no visible game, but both squads gave their all causing the first half to be played more in the middle sector and neither of the two goals can be violated.

In the second half, Moisés Paniagua and Braian Mamani entered with the aim of winning offensively, but they did not violate the goal of goalkeeper Froilán Díaz, from Argentina.

The Albiceleste goal came after 68 minutes. Acuña took advantage of a short rejection from the Bolivian defense, headed it and finished off a cross, unassailable for the national goalkeeper Fabián Pereira. It was the only goal of the match.

From then on, Bolivia stepped on the accelerator, searched to the right and to the left, but always crashed into the Argentine rear. To add insult to injury, at 84 minutes, Sebastián Altamirano received a tremendous flat iron near the right ankle by Argentine Gustavo Albarracín.

The Argentine midfielder was sent off, but Bolivia also kept 10 playersbecause Altamirano was injured, and since Escobar had already made all the changes, he had to continue the game with equal numbers.

The score did not move until the final whistle. Argentina, with 6 points, leads Group C, followed by Bolivia (3). On this same day and for the same Series, Paraguay and Venezuela, Bolivia’s next rival, tied 1-1.
