This Andean Amazon New Year holiday meant for the country the amount of 539 cases of Covid-19 which is higher than the data recorded in past days. This Tuesday, the celebration of the new year in 222 points throughout the country meant the concentration of thousands of people who abandoned biosecurity measures.
Santa Cruz continues to be the most affected department with 264 casesCochabamba 98, La Paz 96, Chuquisaca 64, Oruro with eight cases, Beni four, Potosí three, Tarija two and the only department that did not present cases was Pando.
With the 539 patients this Tuesday the global number of people who passed the pandemic reached 916,631 in the 27 months that the deadly virus has already been in the world; while the number of deceased reached 21,952 people who lost the battle. This Tuesday the country did not present any case of death due to the disease.
Also, the number of recovered was 879,382 people who managed to recover either with treatment or with the vaccine that has been supplied since 2021. This Tuesday the recovery of patients marked slow progress with 252 cases throughout the country.
Santa Cruz was also the one that presented the most recovered with 113 people, Chuquisaca 55, Cochabamba 40, La Paz 23, Oruro 21; while four departments, Potosí, Tarija, Beni and Pando did not present data on recovered people.
