Bolivia adds 1,270 new infections with a higher incidence on the trunk axis

This Monday, 1,270 new coronavirus infections were registered nationwide, giving a total of 885,004 infected since the start of the pandemic. The central axis of the country concentrates the largest number of cases.

According to figures published by the Ministry of Health, the department of Santa Cruz leads the list of infections with 780, followed by Cochabamba with 211; Potosi, 69; La Paz, 62; Tarija, 58; Chuquisaca, 42; Beni, 22; Pando, 22 and Oruro, six.

This Monday the death by Covid-19 of 13 people was also lamented, having a total of 21,314.

In addition, 2,717 people successfully recovered from the virus, accumulating 755,941 people who have overcome the infection.

Likewise, 6,059 cases were ruled out and 107,749 people continue to have the disease in an active state.

Bolivia continues to de-escalate coronavirus infections in this fourth wave, presenting a 46% reduction in cases compared to the previous epidemiological week.

However, authorities, including the Minister of Health, Jeyson Auza, recommended extreme biosecurity measures, with a view to celebrating the carnival in national territory.
