Experts say that the increase in the dollar is one of the main causes of the increase in goods and services, set, mostly, based on the American currency.
The BCV does not publish inflation figures since October 2024, when the country began to face episodes of devaluation of its currency against the dollar.
In addition to the impact on inflation, the increase in the price of the dollar also has effects on the purchasing capacity of workers, above all, of those who charge their salaries in bolivars, such as those who work in the public sector.
