The Bolívar state reported six new covid-19 infections on the day of December 25, being the one that led the community list. In Venezuela there are currently 1,784 active cases of this disease; the majority in cases of home isolation
Vice President Delcy Rodríguez reported that 57 new covid-19 infections were detected in Venezuela during the day of Sunday, December 25, 2022, of which 23 were registered within the national territory and 34 arrived in the country from abroad.
Bolívar was the one that led the list of 11 of 24 entities in the country by reporting six new cases of the virus, all detected in the Caroní municipality.
Next to Bolívar are the Capital District (4), Yaracuy (3), Aragua (2), Miranda (2), Lara (1), Zulia (1), Delta Amacuro (1), Barinas (1), Anzoátegui (1) and Carabobo (1).
On the other hand, Táchira, Mérida, Trujillo, Falcón, Portuguesa, Cojedes, Apure, Guárico, Amazonas, Monagas, Sucre and Nueva Esparta did not report new covid-19 infections during the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the cases that arrived in the country from foreign travelers and that were boarded at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, did so from Panama (16), the Dominican Republic (6), Mexico (6), Spain (4) and Turkey (2).

The official statistics published by Rodríguez in his social media Compared to the day of December 25, 2022, the total number of covid-19 cases that Venezuela reports daily increased. In this sense, 1,015 days after the detection of the first infections on March 13, 2020, a total of 559,126 and 542,512 recovered patients are reported, which according to official data represents a 99% overcoming of the disease.
Currently, there are 1,784 active cases of covid-19 in the country according to the figures released by the authorities, of which 62 are treated in the public network of hospitals; 56 in Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI), 41 in private clinics and 1,695 people who are in home isolation or “supervised community care”.
During the last 24 hours, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez did not report new deaths from covid-19; which indicates that the number of deaths from this disease remained stable at 5,830.
