Bogotá is the 'epicenter' of great shows during 2023: this is the schedule

With more than five thousand events, Bogotá will become the largest epicenter of culture and entertainment in Latin America, consolidating itself as the city of great shows.

Culture continues to be a great bet for the District, since in 2022, theater, music, dance, art, magic and circus events without animals were held, which generated resources of $268,000 million in ticket sales, of which $26.800 million corresponded to the collection of the Public Spectacle Law, that are destined for redistribution and reinvestment in infrastructure. In this 2023 it is expected to exceed that figure.

“Last year we had a significant rise of more than $200,000 million, we hope that this year we will at least reach $400,000 million,” said the Secretary of Culture of Bogotá, Catalina Valencia, during the presentation of the programming.

For his part, Mayor Claudia López spoke about the importance of developing these events in Bogotá and confessed that the one she is looking forward to the most is the Book Fair.

“That the sector has been able to revitalize itself in this way, grow. This year we are going to have twice as many events as we did in 2021; That growth, that change and renewal of the sector seems admirable to me”Lopez added.

Between the most outstanding events will be the Book Fair, which will have Mexico as the guest countrywomen’s football, artists of international stature, a whole cultural agenda for all audiences.
