Last Sunday (5th) at Praia de Itacoatiara were crowned the champions of the professional category of the Brazilian Bodyboarding: Lucas Nogueira and Neymara Carvalho from Espírito Santo.
In the women’s open category, Bianca Simões, also from Espírito Santo, was the great champion, while the men’s master title went to Gugu Barcellos from Niteroi. In the People with Disabilities (PCD) race, Vagner Andrade, from São Paulo, took home the trophy.
However, the most awarded athlete of the day was José Augusto, from Ceará, who took home both the Open and Under-18 category trophies: “I was very happy to get these two finals here in Itacoatiara, a beach with very strong waves and with conditions that demand a high technical level and physical preparation”.
Bodyboarding World Stage
Now the attention turns to the stage of the Bodyboarding World Championship, with the dispute window, also in Itacoatiara, going from this Monday (6th) to the next 16th. ) that brings waves of more than three meters.
