After 12 hours search, the authorities confirmed the location of the lifeless body of the person who remained missing after the collapse occurred yesterday morning, Thursday, in a materials mine located in the San Gregorio de Nigua municipality, San Cristóbal province.

Work included use of heavy machinery
- The relief agencies were notified at 12:10 noon. From that moment, brigades from the Civil Defense, the Nigua Fire Department, the Red Cross, the 9-1-1 System and the National Police worked together in the work of search and rescue.
Cabrera explained that the operations lasted several hours, using heavy machinery to remove the debris, until finally finding the body of the person reported missing.
