Body found with traces of abuse and violence belongs to a girl

A puncture wound caused by a knife to the left cheekbone, a head injury with collapsed brain mass presumably caused by a stone, and a 7 cm stab wound to the left parietal region presented the body found yesterday morning in a yuyal, behind a cemetery in the Bernardino Caballero de Caaguazú neighborhood.

The details were given by the prosecutor Alfredo Mieres, after the inspection of the body in the morgue of the Santa Clara Hospital. The Cause of death was severe head trauma.

The Crio. Luis Goiburú, police chief of Caaguazú, explained that the corpse belongs to a girl between the ages of 12 and 13 who is not listed in the AFI (Automatic Identification by Fingerprints) system of the Police.

It is presumed that the crime was committed elsewhere and that the body was later dumped on the vacant lot. Investigators will try to obtain images from cameras in the area, to find out who or who is involved.

According to testimonies, residents of the area heard the dogs on the block barking desperately, around 2:45 a.m., so it is presumed that the murderers could have arrived at that time to dispose of the body.
