Paraguayan central defender Bruno Valdez, 30, who broke ties with America, Mexico, closed an agreement with Boca and on Monday he will sign a contract for four years, until December 2026, after the pertinent medical review.
Valdez, who arrives free, was also wanted by Cruzeiro, from Brazil, but the Boquense leadership moved faster and took over the services of the experienced central marker.

Valdez, born in the Paraguayan town of Fernando de la Mora on October 6, 1992, began his career in 2011 at Sol de América, in his native country, and in 2014 moved to Cerro Porteño, before joining two years later at Mexican America.
The departure of the Peruvian Carlos Zambrano left a hole in that place in the defense that Boca was looking to cover with more intensity in the last hours, where he had also sounded out another Peruvian like Alexander Callens, but in principle there were some difficulties to “smooth out some differences contractual”.
This central defender, also 30 years old, had just been released from New York City of Major League Soccer (MLS) in United States soccer, from where he would have an offer from Atlanta United.

Finally, Gago included the Paraguayan Rojas in the list. The midfielder worked differently in the last five days and will look for the best physical version of him for the cup match against Boca.
The presence of Fértoli marks the acceptance of the coaching staff by a footballer who returned after his loan at Talleres de Córdoba and was unable to do the full preseason with the squad.
