Boca Juniors and Independiente tied a goalless pre-season match played with the public of both clubs at the Bicentenario stadium in San Juan for the opening of the triangular friendly completed by Everton from Chile.
The “Rojo” from Avellaneda presented the debut as coach of Leandro Stillitano, 39, former assistant to Ariel Holan at the club during the successful cycle that reported the conquest of the 2017 South American Cup and the 2018 Suruga Bank.
The match, with little emotion, ended with one player less due to the expulsion of Sergio Barreto (22m.ST) in the Avellaneda team and was detained half an hour into the second half due to incidents in the stands between supporters of both parties.
The tournament called International Summer Soccer will continue next Wednesday with the presentation of Independiente against Everton (8:30 p.m.) and will end on Friday with the cross between Boca and the trans-Andean club at the same time.
Boca, who is preparing with a view to the International Super Cup to be played against Racing Club in Abu Dhabi, next Friday the 20th, played the game with one goalkeeper at each half: Agustín Rossi, a possible move to Flamengo from Brazil, acted in the first part and Javier García, in the second.
Forward Exequiel Zeballos from Santiago, admitted towards the end, made his return to the courts after the fracture suffered on August 11 in a match with Agropecuario Argentino de Carlos Casares for the Argentine Cup.
Independiente had the debut of five of its nine contracts in the summer market: Luciano Gómez, Agustín Mulet and Matías Giménez, from the beginning, who were joined by Martín Cauteruccio and Kevin López in the second period.
In the Professional League, the “Red” will have its debut against Talleres in Córdoba, on Saturday 28 at 7:15 p.m., and the “Xeneize” will go into action at the home of Atlético Tucumán, the next day from 9:30 p.m.
Well watch out! Boca was approaching the Independiente area and Rodrigo Rey had quick reflexes to avoid the first from Xeneize in San Juan.
