An 18-year-old boy has been missing since Saturday night after two boats collided at kilometer 26 of the Luján River, at the height of the San Isidro district of Buenos Aires, and the Prefecture maintains a search operation in the area. It was officially reported this Monday.
The incident occurred on Saturday at approximately 9:00 p.m. a motor boat, with seven people on board – including two minors -, which was trying to enter the Amarras del Norte yacht club, collided with another boat, manned by the young man who was returning from work on an island from the area and remains missing.
The helmsman of the boat was charged in the case carried out by prosecutor Esteban Álvarez, from Fiscal Unit 2 of San Isidro, and the breathalyzer test they performed was negative.
Sources from the Naval Prefecture told Télam that the crew member Martín Barrios was wanted on Monday morning by divers from the forcewith two coast guards, four semi-rigid boats, jet skis and a boat.
In addition, they indicated that a new crew of divers from the Force’s Rescue, Fire and Environmental Protection Service joined the operation, in which nine boats from the Institution participate, in addition to land resources that provide support for the search and maintenance of security in the area.
The Rincón de Milberg Tax Unit for Instruction, led by Jorge Sebastián Fitipaldi, also intervened in the case.
Cintia, the young man’s mother, maintained that her son was returning from working on a construction site on an island in the area and that one of his brothers, who was the one who gave the warning notice, was returning with him – on a jet ski. .
The woman said that Martin “did not have a life jacket on.”according to what his other son who accompanied him told him.
“Until now, the only thing we know is that they are still looking for him,” said Cintia, speaking to Crónica TV.

Judicial sources indicated to Télam that at the moment the possibility that it was the product of a “dive” between boats is not being investigated.a version that circulated in the first instance, and they clarified that the missing young man was crewing a “trucker” boat, while the other participant had a larger boat.
At the moment, the investigation points to a crash caused by the transit of boats that occurs at that height of the Luján River.
