Starting this Tuesday, February 8, the state airline Boliviana de Aviación (BOA) will fly to Lima, Peru, and will have four departures a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday night. The first flight will depart from Santa Cruz’s Viru Viru International Airport.
The BOA Facebook page announces that the “round trip” ticket to Lima will cost 364 dollars and includes the baggage allowance of a 30 kilo suitcase, free seat assignment and hand luggage up to 7 kilos. at no additional cost.
“This flight will meet the need for integration that we have between Bolivia and Peru, but also provide connection services to and from the city of Sao Paolo and Buenos Aires,” reported its general manager, Ronald Casso.
“The flights are going to be carried out four times a week, they are round trip night flights and they are going to allow all the cities of Bolivia and the two international cities to have this continuous service to and from Lima,” he added.

Casso stressed that the Lima airport has the most important hub in South America, which paves the way for interconnecting flights with BOA destinations.
He also indicated that the Lima airport receives 23 million passengers per year and has connections from South America to Europe or North America, a reason that drives the Bolivian state airline to sign agreements with its peers around the world to facilitate the transfer of passengers.
