The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) is the most transparent federal state-owned company in the country. This is what the latest assessment by the Federal Audit Court (TCU) indicates. The results, referring to the year 2023, were released this Friday (1st). The survey shows that the average rate for federal organizations is 73.48%.
The evaluations fall within the scope of the National Public Transparency Program (PNTP) and are conducted by the Association of Members of the Brazilian Audit Courts (Atricon), a TCU partner entity in the initiative. Transparency is measured by checking the availability of data on the public portals of the organizations analyzed.
In a note released by BNDES, the bank’s president, Aloizio Mercadante, stated that the achievement is a source of pride for all employees. He also highlighted the constant improvement of processes led by the staff. “Our actions are based on a culture of open data, dialogue and cooperation, accessible for any citizen to participate in the democratic process,” he added.
