The US currency traded on Tuesday at $38,926 in the interbank average, with a marginal fluctuation of 0.06%, as reported by the Electronic Stock Market (Bevsa).
The operations were for US$ 23 million with a minimum price of $38.85 and a maximum of $39.05. As usual, the day passed without interventions from the Central Bank (BCU) in the exchange market. The last time it did so was on August 31, 2021 with spot operations for US$31.2 million.
So far this year, the US currency has depreciated 2.86%, equivalent to $1.15 compared to the end of 2022. The dollar ended last year at $40,071 with a decrease of 10.3%. Since then, it has never reached the $40 threshold.

In Argentina
In the Argentine market, the Dolar blue it was quoted at A$ 414 for the purchase and A$ 418 for the sale, thus appreciating A$ 14 throughout the day.
Argentine pesos
The coin peaked at A$422, and shortly thereafter, the offer of the coin on the informal market was halted, due to the lack of price reference and unpredictability. The daily increase was 3% and 5% in the first two days of the week.
The official dollar increased 0.22% and traded at A$ 215 for purchase and A$ 223 for sale in the National Bank. The wholesale dollar ended at A$ 216.54 and A$ 216.94 at its buying and selling points, with a rise of 0.26%.
With the prices in the formal and informal market, the exchange gap (differences between the blue and the official one) was positioned at 89% with respect to the retail dollar and 94% compared to the wholesaler.
The blue dollar had an increase of A$ 75 since the beginning of 2023, which meant 22% in less than four months.
In Brazilthe dollar traded at 4.985 reais, with a rise of 0.85%.
