Blue airline reported on Monday (11) the closing of operations in 14 cities.
In a statement, the company said it has been rationalizing, since July, routes currently operated.
“Adjustments also take into account a number of factors ranging from increased operating costs of aviation, impacted by the global crisis in the supply chain and the high dollar, to fleet availability issues, as well as its current restructuring process.”
The cities that will no longer have the company’s flights are: Crateús, St. Benedict, Sobral and Iguatú (CE); Campos (RJ); Correia Pinto and Jaguaruna (SC); Mossoró (RN); São Raimundo Nonato and Parnaíba (PI); Rio Verde (GO); Barreirinha (MA); Three Lagoas (MS); and Ponta Grossa (PR).
THE Company will concentrate operations at Viracopos airports (Campinas), Confins (Belo Horizonte) and Recifeknown as hubs, reducing routes with connections.
Judicial recovery
Azul is in judicial recovery process in the United States Since May 28 this year.
The company signed financial reorganization agreements with some partners considered “key” by the airline. The measure aims to get $ 950 million in investments. The company’s restructuring, which includes partnership with US airlines United and American Airlines, is estimated at about $ 1.6 billion.
Reorganization agreements also include creditors, an aircraft lease, among other strategic partners. Azul reports that its operations and sales are normally followed, and that all tickets, benefits and points of the loyalty blue will be kept.
