The negotiations between Blooming and José María Carrasco reached a good conclusion. The defender from Santa Cruz will terminate his contract with Universidad de Chile, a club with which he had a contract until the end of the year, pto return to the team that formed him and made him play professionally between 2016 and 2020.
According to Carlos Andrés Sánchez, in charge of the communication department of the celestial club, Carrasco could make his link with the academic entity official no later than next Tuesday.
“The agreement is there, the only thing missing is for the player to sign his contract, which can be given no later than Tuesday,” he said.
Carrasco was out of the country since the 2021 season, the year in which he was transferred to Independiente del Valle de Ecuador. In this club he suffered a serious injury in his first official match and that did not allow him to show himself to the fullest.
Later, at the beginning of this season he had his revenge in the ‘U’ of Chile, a club that is going through a severe institutional and sports crisis due to lack of achievements.
The year started well, but the team’s poor results caused it to be one of the targets of attack by the press and fans, taking into account that it was one of the foreign reinforcements that arrived at the campus.
In this second half of the year, the Clausura tournament will play at the Santa Cruz academy. It is the first reinforcement that the club incorporates after the good campaign that the team had in the Apertura when playing the semifinals.
