Blooming has problems adding at home, but get visitor points. Two dates ago they stole a draw from The Strongest in La Paz and this Tuesday they beat San Antonio 0-1, in a match that was played at the Félix Capriles stadium in Cochabamba, on date 17 of the Clausura tournament of the Professional Division.
The place had its first arrival with danger through Luis Jaldín, at 13 minutes, with a powerful shot inside the area that goalkeeper Carlos Jiménez knew how to control safely.
The San Antonio game had a little more volume than Blooming’s and that is why he once again had a scoring opportunity through Marcelo de Lima (27), who headed only a cross that came from the left, but died in the hands of goalkeeper Jiménez.
At 40 minutes the best combination of the Santa Cruz team occurred. The play was started by Rafinha, he looked on the left for Moisés Villarroel, who from inside the area sent a low and short cross for César Menacho, but goalkeeper José Peñarrieta was attentive to anticipate and avoid the fall of his goal.
A few minutes into the second half, Samuel Garzón (51′) was about to break zero with a left foot that was destined for the net, but Peñarrieta was in charge of deflecting it into the corner.
Two minutes laterthe visit generated a rapid backlash which ended with a shot by Menacho from outside the area that went wide.
Football at times became monotonousboth teams fell into inaccuracies, the show was not the best and it gave the impression that the match was not going to have goals.
But the visit surprised opening the account through Richet Gómez (79′), who changed the direction of the ball after a cross from the right and which goalkeeper Peñarrieta could not reach, because it was cornered next to his right post.
The holy painting caressed equality in a play in which Daniel Aponte failed to clear and left the ball served to Javier Vargas (86′), who took a right cross, when he had the entire goal at his disposal.
In the final minutes, The team from the Cochabamba tropics threw everything into the charge looking for a tie that ultimately did not happen, in part due to the good work of goalkeeper Jiménez.
After the final whistle of the La Paz referee Gabriel Mendoza, the academics, who this time dressed in white, celebrated the victory that allows them climb from eighth to sixth place, with 26 units.
San Antonio stalled at 12th place of the Clausura tournament standings, with 19 units.
