Block of deputies Fuerza del Pueblo and allies deny support in Parlacen for government policies

Santo Domingo, DR.- The block of deputies to the Central American Parliament (Parlacen) of the People’s Force and allies denied that this regional body had supported the security measures adopted by the Ministry of Interior and Police, because that issue has not been discussed in the Dominican bench.

The parliamentarians said they were surprised by statements on the subject attributed to the Talk, when that body has not discussed anything related to this matter.

«Parlacen is an entity with political representation of six States, which meet in Plenary Assembly to evacuate through resolutions the decisions that are adopted by majority,” they stressed.

In this sense, the opposition bloc calls for not using the political body for partisan purposes and for respecting its institutionality as defined in its founding treaty and its regulations.

«Our bench will be willing to defend regional policies and those of our countries, as long as they benefit the citizens of the region, regardless of party acronyms or colors, but In no case will we be complicit in manipulations that affect the image and harmony of the entity,” they stressed.
