Constance, La Vega-. Dominican Republic will include a new destination in its international tourism promotion; The jump of White waters, considered as the highest in the country and the Caribbean and one of the main natural charms of the Constanza municipality.
This was announced by Tourism Minister David Collado, who along with President Luis Abinader left the road that gives access to that natural monument, located in Valle Nuevo Park.
The work has an extension of 11.93 kilometers with an investment of more than 484 million pesos, and according to the minister already producers in the area, it will be of great impact for the development of ecotourism, since it will facilitate the access of more visitors to the Blancas Aguas Salto.
“We will continue to invest in Constance, have us honestly, with transparency and dedicated to the development of tourism,” said the official, before proceeding with the President of the Republic to the opening of the opening tape, even in the rain, as a symbol of commitment to the region.
The Minister of Tourism stressed that the project was executed “with transparency and honesty” and that, in total, 981 million pesos have been invested between Jarabacoa and Constanza, of which 508 million correspond exclusively to Constance, including this important route that leads to the jump of white water.
He announced that the contract, the advancement and the corresponding payments for the reconstruction of the Anacaona Park was already delivered, fulfilling the commitment assumed by the president.

Collado stressed that in Jarabacoa, the Ministry has carried out works of great impact, such as the reconstruction of the Alpino Ramírez road, from the bush of Cadillo to Jumunucu, with an investment of 188 million pesos, and currently executes the second stage of the road with an additional investment of 81 million pesos. In addition, it works on the reconstruction of the access road to Jumunucú, Sabina Street and the Compadre Pastual School, with an amount that amounts to 255 million pesos.
The minister stressed that these works seek to consolidate Constance and Jarabacoa as tourist, ecological, cultural and gastronomic destinations of great attraction.
The official said that the impulse that has been giving, from Mitur, to ecological tourism is part of its strategy to show the Dominican Republic as an increasingly diversified destination.
In addition to President Abinader and Minister Collado to the opening ceremony attended the main provincial and local authorities, such as Senator Ramón Rogelio Genao, Governor Luisa Jiménez and Mayor Joselito Abreu, among others.
