The deputy to the Eekhout White National Assembly said that Venezuela is the victim of a systematic siege of the United States.
He considered that this interference goes directly against sovereignty and President Nicolás Maduro. “They want to remove Maduro, they want to remove the stability from the country, to be able to sow war and drug trafficking,” he said.
He said that “decadent imperialism needs to steal the resources of Latin America, mainly from Venezuela, which has the largest oil reserves in the world,” which means an attraction for the northern country.
He argued that the imperial strategy “is to maintain the conflict (…) they need oil for their wars.” He reiterated that the Venezuelan people will continue to defend their independence and peace.
