Police proceedings in the case of the disappearance of Mexican citizen Blanca Olivia Arellano Gutiérrez (51) continue in Huacho. As reported by Latina this Sunday morning, a lump was found that apparently would be another part of the alleged victim’s body.
The newscast showed images of the arrival of criminal experts from the PNP and representatives of the Public Ministry to verify what this finding was about.
It should be remembered that The citizen continues to be considered missing since November 7, as until now it has not been confirmed whether various human remains found on Chorrillos beach, in Huacho, correspond to the tourist.
The newscast also mentioned that Blanca’s sisters have met two days ago in this small northern city fulfilling various errands. The latter was preliminarily detained for 72 hours last Wednesday, for being the main suspect in the disappearance of Blanca, with whom he would have had a romantic relationship at a distance and after living together since last July.
Juan Pablo Villafuerte is being investigated for the alleged crimes of femicide, human trafficking and organ trafficking.
The Prosecutor’s Office previously carried out proceedings in the room where he lived in Huacho and found remains of blood, hair, women’s clothing and a Mexican flag. The authorities also determined that a ring found corresponds to Blanca.
It was reported that this Sunday the term granted by the Judiciary for the preliminary detention of the medical student expires. Prosecutor Marco Collantes, who is in charge of the investigations, could request an extension or preventive detention. Until 2 pm this Sunday, the Public Ministry did not report anything about it.
