More than 9 million doses of bivalent vaccines against covid-19 have already been applied in Brazil, the Ministry of Health reported this Saturday (15). Immunizers are used as a booster in people at greater risk of developing severe forms of the disease, such as the elderly from 60 years old, immunocompromised people from 12 years old, pregnant women and puerperal women.
Bivalent immunization is intended for those who have already completed the basic vaccination scheme against covid-19 or who have already received one or two booster doses. The interval between the most recent dose should be four months.
Those who still have overdue doses can get vaccinated against covid-19 in basic health units.
