Under the slogan “I lived consciously, I consumed responsibly”, between May 6 and 8, the third edition of Bioferiathe largest sustainability event in Latin America.
With more than 40 thousand attendees, 200 ventures distributed in 14 areas, all dedicated to sustainability, Bioferia managed, once again, to be a success; however, 3 days are short for everything that this offers event .
Since you get to the Bioferia one understands the need and urgency to promote a sustainable change for the planetfact that the organizers of the event demonstrate in every tiny part of the stage that they arranged.
This, since from the staging you can find endless possibilities to promote responsible consumption, which proves that there are no excuses to do so because, as the old saying goes, whoever wants to does so.
Although the entire design was simple and straightforward, it was still practical and beautiful, because sustainability was breathed in every corner of the 14,000 square meters that they had in the Hippodrome of Palermo.
From the welcome to the fair, the stands for the enterprises, the areas to eat or rest, the domes, the posters, the messages, even the staff themselves, were an invitation to that change that the world so badly needs.
This, since the event is not only responsible for teaching or denouncing some of the most serious environmental problems facing the country and the world, but also educating and showing how you can be part of this transformation.
That is Bioferiabeyond denouncing what is already evident, the climate crisis, is responsible for providing solutions both to curb these effects and to promote future consumption practices that are more friendly to the environment.
Entrepreneurship, the great plus of Bioferia
Perhaps one of the most beautiful things that one can find in this sustainability fair, without a doubt, are the ventures and no matter how big or small they were, they all motivated us to be part of the change.
People like the neighbor, the friend, the cousin or any other ordinary citizen, who beyond the concern to make this a more sustainable world, found a way.
For this reason, one could see both large companies that are aimed at offering within their products or services a transformation towards responsible consumption, as well as small companies that seek to create a social impact.
Seen another way, the versatility of the projects that are exhibited at the event is a reliable example that we can all contribute, because in the end every gesture counts and is what will make the difference in the short, medium and long term.
In the tour of each of the stands, you could find everything from healthy and exquisite food to beauty products, clothing, stationery, handicrafts, jewelry, orchards, compost and decoration.
Also proposals focused on mobility, well-being, design, architecture, including products for children, which promote a healthier lifestyle and a change of habits from childhood.
But, despite the fact that there was so much on offer of products and services, they all had something special, they were unique and different, and most importantly, they were all focused on the same purpose: to promote conscious consumption.
The event can perhaps become like a bucket of cold water, not only because of its impact, but because each proposal refreshes and motivates, since one finds countless possibilities to make a more responsible use of resources.
But in the event there were not only enterprises, all remarkable, but also NGOs, talks, workshops, and a whole educational and cultural program that made this a unique experience.
In addition, the fair not only promotes sustainability, but also solidarity, the circular economy and activism, which, once again, invites us to change the paradigm about the way we look at the world and how we inhabit it.
Without a doubt, it is an event that is not only worth attending, but also being an active part, as one discovers and reaffirms that changing habits is everyone’s responsibility and that the time to take action is now; That is why, as the Bioferia motto says: “I lived consciously, I consumed responsibly”.
