The reinforced concrete plant is now ready and in operation, while the geotechnical studies continue on the Brazilian side. These are the advances made from the works front of the Bioceánica bridge that will join the cities of Carmelo Peralta (PY) and Puerto Murtinho (BR).
In addition to the opening of the main access and the assembly of the camp, now the installation of the reinforced concrete plant is added, which is already operational, reported the MOPC.
In addition, he explained that the geotechnical studies are continuing for the main pylon on the Brazilian side, which is essential for the calculation of the bridge’s foundation.
Along these lines, he recalled that the initiation order was issued last January, and that the firm in charge is the PY – BRA Binational Consortium, made up of three companies: Tecnoedil SA, Cidade LTDA and Paulitec Construções, with the contract amount being G. 616,836,755,744.
MOPC estimates that the execution of this project will generate about 1,000 jobs in its different stages and in this sense it has the support of the National Service for Professional Promotion (SNPP) for the training of personnel.
This new physical union with Brazil is considered the main link of the Bioceanic Road Corridor, whose first section of 277 km has already been completed, connecting the towns of Carmelo Peralta (Alto Paraguay) and Loma Plata (Boquerón).
Likewise, the law for the asphalt paving of route PY15, section Mariscal Estigarribia – Pozo Hondo and Access to Mariscal Estigarribia, in the department of Boquerón, has already been approved by the National Congress and promulgated by the Executive. This is the third phase of the Bioceanic Road Corridor, to be tendered soon.
The Bioceánica bridge will have a total length of approximately 1,300 m, including two access viaducts on both banks of the Paraguay River and a cable-stayed bridge of 630 m.
