The installation of emergency housing began in Alhuelemu, a town in the Mulchén commune, Biobío Region, which was affected by forest fires with 17 houses destroyed.
One of the residents of the sector who was affected by the incident, indicated that “what they are doing is good, it is a help for us, (because) we lost everything. (The fire) was very fast, we did not have time for anything , to start no more”, according to the slogan Cooperative.
For his part, the town’s secretary, Víctor Toledo, said that “as a local board we are super happy, because we were waiting for it.”
“It is very good for people who lost their homes, because they can come to their houses (emergency), they are small but it will serve them while the definitive ones arrive,” he concluded.
