The Bill, which is already being implemented in some districts of Limawould seek to be used in all jurisdictions that have been declared in a state of emergency as a result of the increase in organized crime.

What measures does Bill No. 9394 seek to implement?
The legislative initiative seeks to use security and identification implements in smaller vehicles such as mopeds and motorcycles.
“Motorcycle drivers and passengers use safety helmets in accordance with the previously established technical specifications, which must bear the identification of the National Single License Plate on the back to facilitate supervision; as well as distinctive vests that have the number printed on them. of the vehicle’s license plate visibly”, can be read in one of its articles.
Likewise, this rule would seek to prohibit the use of balaclavas, masks and other objects that make driver identification difficult. “The permitted helmets must have transparent lenses or be without lenses, guaranteeing visibility of the driver’s face,” the document states.
In addition, it is indicated that during the declaration of states of emergency, the circulation of motorcycles of categories L1 and L3 with one or more companions would be restricted. The Armed Forces, the PNP, Municipal Serenazgo and public servants are exempt from this measure.
The penalty for not complying with these restrictions will be a fine equivalent to a very serious violation in accordance with the National Traffic Regulations.
Independence prohibits two people from traveling on a motorcycle
