Biden’s former press secretary criticizes “massive disinformation” of the media in Spanish

OnCubaNews

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki declared that “a problem of massive disinformation in the Spanish-language media” contributed to the Republican victories in Florida last Tuesday in the midterm elections.

Psaki said Florida Latinos are “not the same” as other Hispanic voters. “The Latino vote is not the same everywhere! There are huge generational differences and in Florida the population of older voters (more likely R) is much larger than that of young people. And there is a problem of massive misinformation in the Spanish-language media,” she concluded.

Democrats have raised concerns about support for the Republican Party from Florida-based Cuban Americans in the past. A Democratic-leaning group is trying to buy the conservative Miami-based radio station “Radio Mambí,” in Spanish.

Americano Media host Lourdes Ubieta, who resigned from “Radio Mambí” prior to the aforementioned acquisition, reacted to Psaki’s claim about Spanish-language media. “In fact, there is a problem of disinformation in some Spanish-language media, mainly Univisión, Telemundo and CNN en Español, which repeat the lies of the Biden White House,” she told Fox News.

“Florida has the most diverse Latino electorate in the country and the socialism-focused Republican Party campaign slashed Democratic margins in South Florida, moving Latino voters to the right, not just Cuban-Americans,” the journalist wrote. Henry Acevedo.

Several conservative social actors also criticized Psaki’s comment. Fox News anchor Rachel Campos-Duffy called the former press secretary a “patronizing white lady” who criticizes Hispanics. “The condescending white lady says that Hispanics who vote Republican are ignorant and gullible victims of misinformation,” she wrote.

Jen Psaki signed with MSNBC after leaving the Biden administration.
