The president of USAJoe Biden, I send his condolences this Monday for those who died in the freezing storm Elliot, which has already left more than 50 dead.
The president called the governor of New York, Kathy Hochul, to offer her support to face the ravages that the storm has left in that state, which accumulates about half of the deaths.
I spoke with @GovKathyHochul to get an update on the extreme winter weather hitting New York. We stand ready to make sure they have the resources they need to get through this.

“My heart goes out to those who lost loved ones this holiday weekend. You are in my prayers and those of (First Lady) Jill,” the president said on Twitter.
The message was accompanied by a photo of Biden in an office calling Hochul, with whom he spoke to “get an update on the extreme winter weather plaguing New York.”
“We stand ready to make sure they have the resources they need to get through this,” he promised.
Half a hundred people have died from the ravages of storm Elliot that has hit the United States this Christmas from the Great Lakes area, on the border with Canada, to the Rio Grande (also Rio Grande), bordering with Mexico.
The death toll in the state of New York, epicenter of the havoc, rises to 28, 18 of them in the city of Buffalo, a municipality completely collapsed by snow.
Temperatures remain freezing in the US and there are almost 50 deaths from the storm
The governor requested this Monday from Buffalo to the Biden government to declare the northwest of the state a catastrophic area.
“The situation is not bad like it has been in the last couple of days, but it is still a dangerous situation to be out. Stay at home until tomorrow,” he warned the population.
