In pesos, this money is equivalent to more than $1.7 billion, taking as a reference the price of the dollar at $3,783.14 pesos.
Of course, for this support to become a reality, the budget proposal must be approved by the United States Congress, where this Tuesday March 29.

With the request, President Biden ratifies the statements that President Iván Duque made 2 weeks ago, in the midst of the allocation of the 2022 fiscal budget for the country by the US.
“The excellent cooperative relations between our countries are ratified and it is confirmed that we are the most important ally of the United States in the hemisphere,” Duke specified.

The proposal of budget shared by Biden for fiscal year 2023 equals 5.79 billion dollars in total. The plan highlights investments of $82 billion for the Department of Health and Human Services, $21 billion for clean energy and climate resilience programs, $16.5 million to address the crisis of missing and murdered indigenous people, among others.
The proposal also seeks to strengthen investments in security both in the United States and abroad, boost an economy in “the one that everyone has the opportunity to succeed” and reduce the federal deficit by more than $1.3 trillion.
In addition, through a statement from the White House, Biden points out that he is asking for one of the largest investments for national security in the history of the United States.
“We ask for the necessary funds to ensure that our military remains the best prepared, best trained and best equipped military in the world. In addition, I call for continued investment to respond vigorously to Putin’s aggression against Ukraine with the support of the United States to the economic, humanitarian and security needs of Ukrainians,” Accurate Biden.
