US President Joe Biden and Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader
US President Joe Biden invited Dominican President Luis Abinader to speak at the Global Coalition to Address Synthetic Drug Threats Leaders Summit.
This high-level event will take place on 24 September 2024, as part of the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week in New York.
In an official letter addressed to Abinader, President Biden highlighted the fundamental role that the Dominican Republic has played in the global fight against illicit synthetic drug trafficking, highlighting the efforts made to combat the trafficking of fentanyl and other highly dangerous substances.
